Cornerstone Community Outreach
Cornerstone Community Outreach seeks to help people recover from the hardships of homelessness with dignity while helping them restore their God-given worth and self-esteem, focusing on the Chicago’s north side. Cornerstone operates a number of shelters for families, individuals and seniors in addition to providing manifold services to some 500 men, women and children daily. Naperville Covenant has partnered with Cornerstone holding the Windy City Project at their facilities, conducting Christmas dinners and a program at one of their shelters, Leland House, and meeting other Cornerstone needs over the past few years. http://www.ccolife.org/
YMEN – Young Men’s Educational Network
One of our newer regional partners, their mission is to prepare young men in the North Lawndale community of Chicago for mature, responsible leadership, love for learning and outstanding service to the larger community through a comprehensive college preparatory program, entrepreneurial training, a long-term mentoring network, and community service learning. There is also a women’s program called PEARL. Naperville Covenant has included YMEN/Pearl youth on retreat experiences, has completed work projects as part of confirmation retreats. We are building a stronger relationship with them as they are one of our mai partners in the Windy City Project 2014. http://ymenchicago.com/
The Evangelical Covenant Church has had a tradition of a camping ministry for almost 90 years in the Central Conference. For generations, Covenant Camps have provided safe, nature-focused environments for campers, students and families to start and build lasting relationships with Christ and the Covenant Church. In addition to making it possible for our children, youth and adults to attend camps and retreats, Naperville Covenant also gives financial support to these vital mission partners.
